I am a mom of a 6 year old little girl. I am a single mom, now. I never felt better!
Ever since the separation between my husband and I in spring of 2009, I started to being able to breathe again. I didn't even remember what that used to feel like, as long as I was stuck in this abusive situation.
Finally, no more threats, no more name-calling, no more fear of the physical abuse, including the economical abuse, too where only he decided what type of food goes into the fridge, since he was the one paying for it (so he proclaimed).
What have I done? ... so I ask - in retrospective -
What have I done to allow myself to be that vulnerable, so this man had been able to take his opportunity to control my life?
How did I cause it?
What could have done to avoid it?
How did this affect our little girl?
How do I get rid of the guilt-issue that I have placed upon myself because of having given birth to an innocent child who was therefore involved by having to witness her parents like this?
How can I make it up to her?
What type of a role model do I really want to be for my daughter?
.... so many questions, I have asked .... so many nights of prayer ... and finally some answers ....
I wanted to be - so much more.
The good news is that there is a solution to every problem!
There has been one to mine, and there is one to yours, too!
I have learned so much; and I want to help and share with other women, who are going through similar situations, to start to feel better about themselves.
I am dedicated to help making this world a better place by directing my loving attention upon women who want to heal and want to 'untie their rope'!
I want us to be a family of like-minded individuals who give to each other what we need the most, which I believe is loving support and empowerment.
Each one of us has a talent, a skill, something that we are good at and it might just be 'the thing' that may help another woman.
Everything is possible when friendships are built based on genuine love and care for another human being.
I thank God every day for the support that I had, often from strangers, organizations, loving and caring people that I got to know only because of my circumstances.
Most of all I want to thank my very best friend Sylvia and her husband Morris, and my mom and dad who live overseas.
Amazing support and friendships presented themselves to me after I had solved my major problem which was to overcome the fear that I had of my husband; so to finally speak my truth, and to stand up for myself and for my daughter even more.
(Just picture a 5 ft 4" woman of about 113 lbs next to a tall guy of 6 ft 0" weighing approx. 220lbs.)
To me, that was scary!
Now I wish to give back and help others to shine their light again, too.
Step-by-step, we can make this world a better place.
One at a time, feeling joy and happiness again.
I started with me ~ Will you join me and start with You?
I am looking forward to hear from each and everyone of you wonderful women friends.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to connect.
